Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for the Wii U will feature online play and will support Amiibos.
The game will support the following match types for online play: Mega Battles, Classic Tennis, and Casual Matches. In online matches you can play singles, doubles with a friend, or use an Amiibo to double up with.
As with SSB4, an Amiibos will act as an AI container, and the more matches you play with them the more intelligent they become.
Nintendo has also confirmed that everyone’s favorite galactic princess, Rosalina, will be joining Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash as a playable character.
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash releasing on Wii U in North America on November 20th.
