Konami has shipped more than five million copies of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain worldwide, as of September.
The figure, which can be found in the FY2016 Q2 Summary section of the firm's latest financial report, includes digital downloads.
The publisher, which has been shaken in recent months by internal wrangling that resulted in the disbanding of Kojima Productions and likely departure of series director Hideo Kojima, reported increased revenues and profits for the first half of its financial year 2016.
Revenues increased year-on-year from 98.7 billion yen to 107.7 billion, and profits for the period doubled from 3.9 billion yen to 7.8 billion. The majority of this revenue came from the digital entertainment segment and just over a third from the company's health and fitness ventures.
