Star Wars:Battlefront shot its way to the top of UK sales chart in its debut week on sale, according to GFK Chart-Track. It managed to achieve the biggest launch ever for a Star Wars game in the UK, selling 117 percent more than Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Star Wars Battlefront also managed to become the best-selling non-sequel debut ever on the PlayStation 4, beating out the previous record holder, Destiny. 59 percent of retail sales were on the PlayStation 4, 39 percent on the Xbox One, and two percent on Windows PC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III remains in second, despite a 50 percent drop in sales. Last week's top game, Fallout 4, dropped two spots to third as sales decreased by 80 percent.
FIFA 16 is up one spot to fourth as sales increased 14 percent week-over-week, and Rise of the Tomb Raider fell to fifth, with sales dropping 37 percent.
