Need for Speed sold 609,427 units first week worldwide at retail, according to our estimates, which can be viewed on the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart for the week ending November 7th.
Breaking down the sales by platform, the game sold significantly better on the PlayStation 4 (474,325 units sold, 78% market share) than the Xbox One (135,102 units sold, 22% market share).
Breaking down the sales by region, Need for Speed sold best in Europe with 303,848 units sold (50%), compared to 172,553 units sold in the US (28%), and 133,026 in the rest of the world (22%).
Looking more closely at Need for Speed's European sales, it sold 57,484 units in the UK, 71,499 units in Germany, and 53,376 units in France.
Need for Speed launched on November 3rd in North America and November 5th in Europe for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It releases for the Windows PC in 2016.
