Minecraft: Wii U Edition Coming Later This Month

Microsoft's Minecraft is finally coming to Nintendo Wii U, on December 17th.

Minecraft: Wii U Edition will include the base game and six free DLC packs. Wii U specific features include the ability to play the game on the Wii U GamePad, and Nintendo will be working with developer Mojang on Nintendo-themed content in the future.

The six free DLC packs are the following:

Battle & Beasts Skin Pack
Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack
Natural Texture Pack
City Texture Pack
Fantasy Texture Pack
Festive Mash-up Pack

If that isn't enough add-on content for you, then you'll be glad to know that the following DLC packs will also be available to purchase at launch:
