An interesting little nugget of information is posted at the bottom of the Fig Campaign page for Psychonauts 2:
"We’ve always said that we wanted to make sequels to both Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. We can’t make any promises but if Psychonauts is a success for us, then perhaps Brutal Legend 2 will be more possible?"
Brutal Legend released back in 2009 and, although it was generally very well received, the title was plagued by behind-the-scenes publisher issues and ultimately the cancellation of a sequel by Electronic Arts almost forced the closure of Double Fine.
