Machine Zone, the guys famous for bringing Game of War aka one of last year’s most-downloaded and played games, comes back with a vengeance. If you haven’t been living under a rock these past few months (hopefully), you might have seen action star Arnold Schwarzenegger promoting a game called Mobile Strike. It’s basically Game of War, albeit set in a modern setting. It’s Arnold Schwarzenegger, man. If his name alone doesn’t make you go and download the game, here’s the top 4 reasons you should:
1. It’s like a never-ending Red Alert
Mobile Strike is an online game that lets you build your base, gather resources, train troops, and fight other players. Remember the Red Alert game series? It’s kind of like that, but with updated and more realistic technology. What makes it great is the fact that it’s never-ending. No matter how many times you win, you have to keep upgrading unless you want your base obliterated. On the other hand, even if you lose matches, you have the option of rebuilding everything again and exacting that sweet, cold dish of revenge against the player that wronged you. Pretty neat, huh?
2. It emphasizes teamwork
One of the best things about Mobile Strike is its alliance feature, wherein it is imperative that you team up either with friends or strangers to help each other out. You can come to their help when they need more troops or resources, speed up building and vice-versa. This way, you wouldn’t feel so alone and weak when you try and defeat players of a higher level than you.
3. It’s free
Well, mostly. Like Game of War and a slew of online games before it, Mobile Strike is a free download. And while it’s free to do everything, you also have the option to buy resources like gold (that helps speed up building and training of troops), making it easier for you and your teammates to rank higher in the leaderboards. But really, buying resources sometimes takes away the satisfaction of grinding for important materials, but to each his own.
4. There’s a lot of different things to do
You might think that constantly building, training, and fighting other players gets boring after a while. Thankfully, Mobile Strike offers different quests that you can accomplish for better loot and more resources. There are daily quests, alliance quests, and even VIP quests. While none of these are required to be done for you to level up, they are welcome additions to the world of online games that get repetitive very early on.
These are just some of the awesome things that Mobile Strike has in store for players like you. If you’re into strategy games that take actual time and effort, then this game has a lot to offer you, and more. See you in the battlefield!
