Gearbox CEO and president Randy Pitchford today confirmed that a new Borderlands game is the company's next project.
Pitchford made the announcement during a PAX East panel, saying "it's no secret, obviously there's going to be another Borderlands". However it may not be 'Borderlands 3' - ""We don't even know if we're going to call it that. We could call it Borderlands 4 for all we know", Pitchford noted.
The game is being written by Mikey Neumann, who hopes to include the son of popular series character Scooter (which he voices), Scooper, in the new game.
In other Gearbox-related news, characters from its upcoming Battleborn, which is due to launch next month for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, will be made available as musicians in Rock Band 4.
