Paradox Interactive has revealed that its latest strategy title - Stellaris - has broken the company's record for day one revenue.
Stellaris shifted over 200,000 copies within 24 hours, and although that wasn't quite enough to beat Cities: Skylines' 250,000 units sold within 24 hours, the higher asking price for Stellaris at launch does mean that it claims the record for most revenue generated in 24 hours.
Cities: Skylines actually managed to top one million units in its first month thanks to strong word of mouth, so it will be interesting to see if Stellaris can maintain its impressive early sales performance in the coming weeks.
