Today, Ubisoft has announced that the highly-anticipated open world game Watch Dogs will be landing on the 19th November in America, and Europeans will only have to wait a couple of days before it hits on the 22nd November.
The above release dates are for the PC, PS3, 360 and Wii U. Ubisoft has said it will be a launch title for the PS4, and it's "also planned for other next-generation consoles". It's pretty safe to assume that this will be the Next Xbox.
In addition, Ubisoft has today revealed there will be a total of four special edition bundles released for the game, the Dedsec Edition, the Vigilante Edition, the Uplay Exclusive Edition and the Special Edition.
The Dedsec Edition is the "real" special edition, and features a figurine of player character Aiden Pearce, a steelbook and collector box, artbook and soundtrack. Also included are four augmented reality collectible cards and three badges, and a map of Chicago as seen in-game. Three single player missions will be provided as digital content, adding around an hour of additional gameplay; the Palace Pack, centred on a police raid of an Internet mogul; Signature Shot, dealing with a biometrics weapon smuggled into Chicago; and the Breakthrough Pack, which tasks you with outing the criminals holding corporate CEOs to ransom. It's safe to assume this would be released as DLC if you don't get the special edition.
The Vigilante Edition comes with slightly less, but still features the collector's box, Aiden's cap and mask, and the game's soundtrack. It will also come with the "Palace Pack" mission. The Uplay Exclusive Edition comes with the steelbook and the three single player missions to be found in the Dedsec edition, and the Special Edition comes with the "Breakthrough" pack.
The game itself seems to be trying something new, so hopefully the final product will be as good as the premise. Guess we'll find out in mid-November.
