The first details for Respawn Entertainment's much-rumoured exclusive have been leaked. We know a handful of key details so far, including that it's called Titanfall and is coming to the Xbox One, PC and Xbox 360 in the Spring of 2014.
Respawn Entertainment is the studio that formed after Zampella and West left Infinity Ward and the Call of Duty franchise. As expected, then, this new project is a first person shooter. The twist is that it will heavily feature mechs (the titular titans) and the setting will have a District 9/Blade Runner vibe to it. The mechs will be highly agile and deadly, and you'll be able to both pilot them if you so choose, or have them partner up with you as AI companions.
We'll no doubt hear a lot more about Titanfall over the coming days, but for now we'll have to make do with the Titanfall-themed Game Informer cover.
