On the official SimCity website, a blog was posted to announce the delay of SimCity for Mac computers. Senior producer Kip Katsarelis stated, “we have made this tough decision because we do not believe it is ready for primetime yet. We want to ensure the Mac is a great experience for our players and that is why we are taking more time.”
The Mac version of the game was previously slated for a June 11th release date, but is now set for sometime in August. Players who purchase the Mac version can access their city from either their Mac or PC. The Mac version, for those who have already purchased the PC copy, will be offered for free.
In related news, it was also announced that Update 5 should be launched in just a couple of weeks.
