Retro's "Super Big Project" is another Donkey Kong?

During the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that Retro Studios was in fact working on another DK title. I know that this came as a HUGE surprise to Metroid and Star Fox fans everywhere. Retro gave us hints as to what their game was; they all pointed to a Metroid or a Star Fox; however we were wrong and were shown another DK game. In my opinion, this was a huge mistake on Retro. Since when did anyone ask for DK? When have you heard someone say 'we really need another DK game'? Exactly, never. everyone has either said Star Fox or Metroid. While the company stated that the 'decision between DK and Metroid was tough', they said that they felt they weren't finished with DK. Um... what? Not finished with DK? Last I checked, they gave us a cliff hangar at the end of Metroid Prime 3; that was back in the Wii days! If anything, Metroid isn't finished; DK just got a game on the 3DS. Anyway, I was hoping for a new Star Fox game (they wanted to 'pull a barrel roll of a different kind'... remember that?)

Donkey King Country Returns: Tropical Freeze is said to be released later this year.
