If a recent survey from EA is to be believed, the newest edition of SimCity could be adding a "classic mode" feature, that would be playable both offline and online.
Surveys reportedly sent out to SimCity players asks them for their thoughts on potential feature changes in SimCity gameplay, including a "classic mode" where players can "play a single fully functioning city using cheats and unlocks that allow you to create your perfect city [in] offline or online mode."
SimCity, which at time of writing currently requires a constant internet connection to be playable, was infamously plagued by server issues at launch, causing many players to be locked out of the game. Could this survey indicate that an offline mode will be added in an upcoming update?
The survey also has options to guage interest in other new features such as terraforming, subways, and "heroes and villains," which seems to indicate the possible addition of superheroes and supervillains to your city.
Check out the survey in question here to see all of the proposed new additions to SimCity.
