Chillingo co-founders Chris Byatte and Joe Wee have departed from the mobile gaming company they created in 2005, according to a report from MCV. Chillingo is most well known for publishing two mobile sensations: Angry Birds and Cut the Rope.
Chillingo was purchased by Electronic Arts in 2010 for $20 million USD. This departure marks the third exodus reported this year from a studio associated with Electronic Arts. Criterion co-founders Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry departed to create their own game studio while former Popcap Chief Executive Officer Dave Roberts retired from the company.
It is currently unknown what Byatte and Wee plan to do next.
