Former Far Cry 2 creative director and Splinter Cell series lead director Clint Hocking has left Valve, according to his biography on his official site. Hocking worked as a designer and level designer for Valve between July 2012 and the end of 2013. It is unclear what he was working on, though Gamasutra rumors suggest he was working on Left 4 Dead 3.
Hocking previously worked at Ubisoft as a creative director, where he gained notoriety for working on Far Cry 2 and the Splinter Cell series. After leaving Ubisoft in 2010, he worked at LucasArts for two years on an unnannounced project before joining Valve in July 2012.
Hocking has not stated why he left Valve or what he plans to do next.
