Following on from yesterday's rumour, today it was announced in Famitsu that the 2002 GameCube remake of Resident Evil will be getting a new HD edition. This new version, Resident Evil HD, is set to release on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
The game's visuals and textures have been improved upon and the game will run at 1080p on current gen consoles and 720p on last gen console. It will also now offer 5.1 surround sound.
Resident Evil HD will be releasing first in Japan on November 27th and will be released digitally in the West in early 2015.
