Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby Get New Mega-Evolutions

Pokemon X & Y changed up the poke-formula forever with the addition of the Mega Evolution. The upcoming remake of the Gameboy Advance’s Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire has already introduced a few new Mega Pokemon, including Mega Sableye. The latest issue of Corocoro has revealed three more Mega Pokemon.

First up is Altaria. When it Mega Evolves its type changes to Fairy/Dragon and it gains the ability Pixilate.

Next is my favorite rabbit Pokemon (sorry Bunnelby), Lopunny. After it Mega Evolves its type changes to Normal/Fighting and it gains the Scrappy ability and can use the move High Jump Kick.

The final new Pokemon to gain a Mega Evolution is Salamence. Mega Salamence remains Dragon/Flying but has the ability Aerilate.

The latest issue of Corocoro also reveals that when you change your Pikachu’s Cosplay for contests it will gain special moves. There's also a new contest rival named Lucia, who will give you special clothes for participating in contests. Finally, you receive a shiny Beldum who is holding its Mega Stone through an event.
