Resident Evil Revelations 2 to Feature Weekly Episodic Releases

The latest entry in Capcom's survival horror series, Resident Evil, is taking the series in a different direction. Resident Evil Revelations 2 will offer four chapters that will be released once per week, for $6 USD an episode. The "Complete Season" can be purchased for $25 USD, which includes the four chapters and currently unnanounced content.

Not interested in waiting for weekly installments? Capcom will also release a disc-based version of the game, including all four chapters and additional content, for $40.

Revelations 2 wants to keep you hooked like a TV show, waiting for each week's new content. Capcom hopes that it will "spur further conversation and speculation".

The game stars series mainstay Claire Redfield and her daughter, Moira Burton, who have been taken to a mysterious detention center full of "demented, writhing enemies called Afflicted". The game will release in early 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
