After months of vague "Winter 2014" release dates being given for the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros., Nintendo have finally revealed that the game will be released this November 21st in North America and December 5th in Europe.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is set to feature a few extras over the 3DS version, such as improved graphical fidelity, GameCube controller support and additional stages.
It will also support Amiibo figures, which will allow players to save their character's information onto a plastic model, similar to the system used in the Skylanders series. The Amiibo figures will also work on 3DS version of the game, but will require a new piece of hardware for the current 3DS XL, 3DS and 2DS handhelds to read them, currently rumoured to be released sometime in 2015.
