At the start of the week it was announced that the physical release of Dying Light outside of North America would be delayed.
Well today we've been told the new release dates for retail. In North and South America the date (both for retail and digital) is still 27th January. In Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia it is now 28th February. You can bypass the delay in those regions by purchasing the title digitally, as it will still be available digitally from 28th January in those countries.
As compensation for the delay the 'Be the Zombie' multiplayer mode, which had been intended as a pre-order bonus/paid DLC after launch, will now be free on all platforms and across all regions.
All pre-orders for physical copies of the game in regions affected by the delay will also be given two DLC packs - Cuisine & Cargo and Ultimate Survivor Bundle - free of charge.
