Cave Johnson was originally going to be an AI partner for your character in the games, but this was later scrapped. As the game went on, his AI would eventually lose his touch with the human side and become more robot-like, eventually leading to a robot uprising. He would become the game's main antagonist, which would later go on to be Wheatley.
