The Dragonborn, or Dovahkiin in the Dragon Language, is the protagonist and player character of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. He (or she) can be any one of Skyrim's Races, and can choose to specialise in any skills. He is the first Dragonborn for centuries, and his status means that he can Shout in the Dragon Tongue and absorb the souls of dead dragons.
In the official trailers, Dovahkiin is a male Nord warrior.
