Ancient Apparition is currently one of the more popular ranged support heroes in the metagame, thanks primarily to his ultimate which can deal immense amounts of AoE damage and which prevents all forms of healing.

Ice Vortex should be skilled and maxed last in most situations, with a value point gotten early on.
Chilling Touch is skilled and maxed second in most cases.
Ice Blast is always skilled (levels 6, 11 and 16).
