Achilles Davenport was a Master Assassin and the mentor to Connor Kenway in Assassin's Creed III. Recruited in the mid-1730's, Achilles became a mentor to the Colonial Brotherhood in 1746. By 1763, the Templar's had destroyed most of the Assassin's and Achilles was left to live alone in the Davenport Homestead.
By 1770, Connor found and forced Achilles to teach him the way of the assassins, which he did, until his peacefull death in 1780, leaving a letter of thanks to Connor for restoring his faith in the Assassin Order. A funeral was held on the cliff behind his manor, attended by all the inhabitants of the Homestead.
