Assassin's Creed is an award-winning, historical fiction, action-adventure, open world, stealth video game series released by Ubisoft. The series, which consists of five main video games and many other releases across different media, follows the Assassin Order as they fight against Templar Order.

As of 2013, the series has appeared on platforms such as the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, Playstation Vita, Android, and Windows Phone. The main series, which follows Desmond Miles, were developed by Ubisoft Montreal, while the handheld titles have been developed by Gameloft and Griptonite, with additional development by Ubisoft Montreal.
