Misery is the daughter of Jenka, a witch and the servant to the Doctor in the video game Cave Story and Cave Story 3D. Forced by her uncle Ballos to create the Demon Crown, she was cursed and is now the servant of whomever owns it. As servant to the Doctor, she is forced to attack Quote and Curly Brace, but frequently send her servant Balrog to do the work for her.
