The Watcher is War's watcher and guide in Darksiders. Little is known of where he comes from, but he has served the Charred Council for quite some time.
When War was accused of starting the Apocalypse early and wished to prove his innocence by destroying the one responsible, the Watcher was charge with watching over War and given the power to kill him if he betrays the Council. Directing War to accomplish certain tasks, his sadistic and wicked often clashes with War's personality. When War defeats Abaddon, the Watcher betrays him, leading to his death by War's own hands when Uriel helps him.
