Griever is one of The Destroyer's chosen and an antagonist in Darksiders. Ruling over The Hollow in the Destroyed City with her "pets", War must retrieve her heart and bring it to Samael.
At first War is unable to defeat the Griever, only pissing her off. Having to chase her down in the abandoned subway, War is only able to defeat her once he has obatined the Tremor Gauntlet, capable of breaking the dense crystal that protects her heart.
