Dr. Laude is the main antagonist in Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica. Actually a resident of the third tower of Ar toneilco, administrated by Tyria, he tried to kidnap Luca Trulyworth, but failed and kidnapped Leyka instead. Although he works under the Grand Bell leader Alfman Uranous, he had his own motivations for Metafalyss.
He is also the father of the character Mute in Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel.
