Ash is a phantom and one of the main protagonists in Phantom Brave. While on assignment with Marona's parents to the Isle of Evil, the trio was mortally wounded left for dead. Using the last of his life energy, Marona's father brought Ash back as a phantom to watch over Marona.
While not appearing in Disagea 2: Cursed Memories, he became a DLC character for the PSP re-released Dark Hero Days. He also appears as a DLC character in Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten.
