The Moon Bear King is the main antagonist in Puppeteer. Once known as Little Bear, he was serving under the Moon Goddess until he stole two precious objects from her, the Black Moonstone and a pair of magical scissors called the Calibrus. With these in hand, he invaded the Moon Goddess' castle, broke the White Moonstone and imprisoned the Moon Goddess.
After taking over the Moon Realm and placing the pieces of the White Moonstone in the care of his 12 Generals, he steals the souls of children and turns them into wooden puppets to serve as his guards in his castle. One such boy was Kutaro, the game's protagonist, who he deemed useless and toss aside like trash.
