Picarina is a princess and the daughter of the Sun in Puppeteer. She goes to investigate what happened to the Moon Goddess, but is kidnapped by the Moon Bear King since he seems to fear her father. The Moon Bear King transforms her into a puppet and she is eventually rescued by Kutaro, tagging along with him on his journey, replacing Ying Yang as his companion.
