Sapphire Rhodonite is a princess of the human world and a playable character in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice. Since the Overlord always captures the princess, Sapphire entered the Evil Academy to learn the Overlord's weaknesses and launch a preemptive attack. Upon learning that Mao is the Overlord's son, she forces her way into the group, much to the joy of Almaz, who has a crush on her.
Sapphire is ruthless, powerful and cold-blooded, but has a weakness for anything cute and adorable. It is said that she lost the ability to cry long ago due to a traumatic event. Her power stems from years of watching countless heroes die in her name and she generally regrets sending "another innocent soul to the darkness" when she kills them.
