Vulcanus is a full-fledged Archangel of Celestia and second-in-command to Seraph Lamington in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. He manipulates others, such as General Carter, to invade the Netherworld and even hires out angelic sentries to do his dirty work.
Unlike Lamington, who is stoic and calm, Vulcanus is loud and brash with ideals that are extreme and far from angelic. He hates all demons and believes humans are too stupid to live without the guidance of angels. Also unlike Flonne, who believes that every being has love in their hearts, Vulcanus considers angels the only source of good.
