2K Boston/2K Australia is a video game developer, founded in 1997 by three former employees of Looking Glass Studios: Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier. Originally known as Irrational Games Boston, it was acquired by Take-Two Interactive on January 9, 2006 and would publish their games under the 2K Games label, thus changing their name to 2K Boston/2K Australia.
On January 8, 2010, the company announced their return to the Irrational Games label, whil 2K Australia merged with 2K Marin.
