Drop your Parasol Copy Ability before entering this area. When you begin, move right and jump up and inhale the Flamer as it hurtles toward you. Swallow it to gain the Burning Ability. Run along the ground and use your ability to charge through the Waddle Dee when it appears, destroying him.
Continue up the next two steps, using your burning charge to defeat the Poppy Bros. Jr. and Crack-Tweet there. When you reach the edge of your current platform, with a Waddle Dee on two Star Blocks to your right, use your charge again, breaking the blocks and defeating the Waddle Dee. You'll drop down to the platform below. Grab the Star there and jump onto the platform to your right.
Charge the Crack-Tweet. Do the same for the Flamer moving around the Star Block. Make sure you charge before he does. Be careful when you drop back down to the ground as the Waddle Dee on the next Star Block will do an intense jump at you. Move back if you must, then defeat it. Move next to the Star Blocks blocking the tunnel. Charge through them and enter the door at the end, after dropping your Burning ability (you'll get something better soon).
Mid-Boss: Efrite
Your first mid-boss battle is against Efrite. This guy's attacks are similar to a Flamer's. For his main attack, he jumps into the air and floats down until he reaches the point where he is horizontally level with Kirby at which point he charges to the other side of the room, hitting the wall. His second attack is to jump up and immediately charge diagonally into the floor at the centre of the room.
Whenever Efrite hits the wall or the floor, a star will appear. This is your weapon to defeat him. To dodge his main attack, jump up into the air after Efrite does. Jump high enough so that you're level with him. He'll charge, as he is, run underneath him to the other side. When he hits the wall, inhale the star and spit it back into him. To dodge his second attack, simply stay to the sides of the room. Use the star that appears when he hits the floor to defeat him too.
Dodge Efrite's attacks, inhale the stars that appear and spit them back at him until he's defeated. It's not recommended that you use the Burning Ability to fight him as it does very little damage compared to spitting stars at him. When he's defeated, you can inhale him and copy his Burning ability, although it's recommended that you get the Parasol Ability later.
After defeating him, Rick will be freed. Simply walk into him to befriend him as an Animal Helper. Move right, jump up the steps and enter the door.

Run right, drop to the platform below and inhale the Waddle Dee. Move and inhale the Waddle Dee along with the Drifter that he's holding before it lands. Copy the Drifter's ability to gain Parasol. Break the Star Block if it hasn't been already. Continue right, wait just left of the Star Block with the Waddle Dee standing on it and hold the parasol out to the right to defeat it.
Move right up the small incline and use your parasol to defeat the Drifter. Jump up and break the Star Block and grab the Pep Brew that drops to replenish any health you may have lost. Continue right, defeating the Waddle Dee, Poppy Bros. Jr. and Waddle Dee holding a Drifter. The last should be done before it hits the ground, firing your parasol up at them from underneath. Defeat the Poppy Bros. Jr. rolling along on the apple too.
Run beneath the platforms, using your parasol to defeat the two Waddle Dees and the Drifter. Jump up onto the ledge, defeat the Crack-Tweet and Waddle Dee then continue down to the Broom Hatter. Defeat it, jump up and enter the door to complete the area.
