The gameplay for Mario Golf: Toadstool tour is almost identical to that of Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, it contians the same user interface, but putting it done to a smaller screen does take it's toll graphically, as at times it feels a little rushed graphically.
Power and Accuracy
In terms of controls, there are exactly the same as the previous installment although the controls do feel a little out of place as this game does not have the
same amount of game modes as Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour due to story mode, which limits the game to the basics modes of Mario Golf other than story mode.
Although this game uses the same mechanics and ball physics as the previous game, but with a few revisions as this game has many more human players for you to chose from, and these cannot replace the attributes of some of the characters missed out of this game. The power gauge is somewhat unchanged from the previous game, Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and features almost all of the same user interface, but with less detail.
New Game Modes
Story Mode
In this story mode the basic aim is to try and win the advance tour, outplaying the four champions of golf in the process, you can either play as Neil or Ella, you play 5 courses on this story mode, if you don't get a good enough score on one of the courses, you will have to retry until you do. There was a mixed responce to this mode, some calling it a nice addition and very fun to play and some calling it unorginal, bland and not suited for a golf game.
