Along the road there are areas for soft, fertial soil. It is in these spots that berries can be planted. Berries can do a mulititude of things from restoring health to fixing an ailment on the pokemon. They take some time to grow and if they are neglected then they will no longer grow there. Berries can also be mixed into dishes that can boost certian traits of the pokemon to better enhance their chances in the Pokemon Contests.
