810 notes and 25 jiggies are required to begin the final battle with Gruntilda. There are addtional note doors which can be opened to refill feathers and eggs. If every jiggy in the game is collected, the player can obtain twice the amount of lives that he could normally have. The battle itself is quite difficult for many. It is long and the player is constantly under attack. When Gruntilda is defeated, she fires one last spell that barely misses Banjo, as she falls to her doom in Spiral Mountain.
