Spyro: Year of the Dragon is a platformer developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released on October 23, 2000 in the US, and on November 10, 2000 in Europe on the Playstation. It was the only Playstation Spyro game to not be released in Japan.
Year of the Dragon was the third entry in the Spyro series, as well as the last one developed by Insomniac Games. The game's name came from the Chinese zodiac, as that was the symbol during the game's release. The game received very positive reviews and is rated as one of the top twenty Playstation games on Game Rankings.
