Tales of Destiny 2's story starts out with the main protagonist of the first games son Kyle attempting to save his orphanage from going into debt. On his quest he finds a girl by the name of Reala who is apparently in search of a hero. Kyle believes he has to become a great hero like his mother and father once were. Therefore he follows her in hopes of becoming a great hero.
