Beyond Good & Evil is an action-adventure video game, developed by Ubisoft's Montpellier studio for the PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, Xbox and GameCube. The game was later reworked for release on XLBA and PlayStation Network as Beyond Good & Evil HD by Ubisoft's Shanghai studio.
The game takes action-adventure elements and combines them with puzzle-solving and stealth-based game elements for a unique gameplay. Despite being considered a commercial failure by some, the game is critically acclaimed and even spawned a sequel, Beyond Good & Evil 2.
