As a result of the dramatic changes on the Earth's surface following Downfall Day, the North Pole is now in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, causing the old ice cap formation to melt and flood over the north atlantic, submerging major cities.
New York is one such city. The entirety of Manhattan is submerged, whilst the rest of the New York area continues to experience volatile weather conditions.
