20 years after the original game’s launch, Conrad Black returns for Flashback re-imagined. (Re)Developed by the original team that worked on the original Flashback in 1992, they've remained faithful to the original game using today’s technology.
Flashback (2013) is a re-imagining of 1992's Flashback: The Quest for Identity, which was a best selling title released on Amiga, MS-DOS, Acorn Archimedes, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Super Nintendo, Mega-CD, 3DO, CD-i, MS-DOS, Apple Macintosh, FM Towns and Atari Jaguar.
Flashback (2013) has been released on PC, Xbox and PS3. It's been developmed by VectorCell, a studio containing five core members of the team behind the 1992 original (including founder Paul Cuisset).
Cuisset says their objective was to "remain faithful to the spirit of the original game, but to also take full advantage of the computing power of today’s machines" and in this respect they have been successful with the remake being very faithful to the original but using current development programs such as the Unreal engine and Havok physic.
