A bird-like race with feathers and beaks, but no wings. They generally worship Kluex, the former ruler of the Avians. Avians believe they lost their wings when they entered the mortal world, and can only reattain them by absolution through worship. Avians who do not follow the traditional Avian worship are called "The Grounded." Avian numbers were lower until an unnamed superior race gave them advanced technology and weaponry.
