Crops in Family Farm Seaside are a prime focus. As you progress in levels, you gain access to more crops. The table below shows the various crops available in the game, along with the cost, time (in hours) to grow, value, and profit broken down by per item, and per item per hour.
Trees are your second source of raw materials. Where crops require that you reseed after harvest, trees provide a regular source of material without any replanting. The balance is that trees have a larger initial cost, and require dedicated space. Trees also tend to take longer to produce than crops of equivalent usefulness.
Animals eat crops and produce more refined goods. Each animal type has a specific food it will use, and it will eat only that crop. The exception is the super beehive, which is able to feed off a variety of flowers.
Machines process materials into other materials, usually of higher value. The notable exception is the windmill, which actually lowers the value of the grain. Since the flour produced is typically further processed into higher value items, this is not a great concern.
