Trials Fusion is the latest entry in RedLynx's Trials series of games. A cross between a racing game and a platformer, the Trials Fusion challenges players to negotiate a series of motocross tracks. Tracks are set up as obstacle courses, where the player must pass through a series of checkpoints to get to the finish line.
It is not certain if Fusion will use the same medal system from Evolution, where players earned bronze, silver, gold or platinum medals depending on the time they finished, as well as how many times they crashed (faults).
Fusion also adds a tricks system to the series.
Setting
Trials Fusion marks a departure from other Trials games in that it is based in a futuristic setting, primarily featuring futuristic cities in the sky and utopian-esque locales and backdrops.
Multiplayer
Fusion will build upon the multiplayer features introduced in past entries, this includes not just competitive multiplayer races, leaderboards, and ghost time trials, but also comprehensive track editing and the ability to share your track creations.
Trials Frontier Interaction
Trials Fusion is designed to interact with smartphone Trials release, Trials Frontier, with the tagline for the games being 'One future, two Trials".
