Vanessa CroweU can get compass in archipelago 2 3th to the last island but what island do I get lifesavers? -
go to the shop & choose 2nd last tab showing the idol coin...you can see that you can buy the lifesaver etc. needed to upgrade the boat there....you will need to collect the idol coins from the archipelago quests....keep going back to the islands to get more idol coins to buy the upgrades -
I got mine doing archipelago 1 quests. I now have two. I only got one compass though and I am all the way through the first set of islands. I keep going back no luck yet.

As far as I can tell, it's one of the quests in your que, but you wont know until you complete the quest. One of my quests right now is to open a certain chest, but the quest says I have to get the key, which can be done by completing a quest. It doesn't say which one, and I have completed several. There are bugs though. For instance on tribe orders, I have completed 14, but never got the reward for completing quest "fill 10 orders" I just stopped doing it because its a waste of resources.

You have to wait for a while and the map sign will show up on one of the island in the first archipelago. Go to the island and pick up the treasure chest with map sign on it.

uoy knai need a battery to update my boat but carnt find one any one know which island i will get it

upgrade objects, far as I can tell randomly 'fall' from island obstacles. However, the coins you get from clearing those obstacles can be used to purchase them in the store, under the image of the coin. You must have at least 1000 to buy anything, and batteries are the most expensive. -

When I try to create patterned baubles, it says I don't have any - must go to pattern isle to get some. I have over 30. The only time I could create some was when I got the patterns as a gift in the game (free gift each day)

You follow each quest given and they will appear. Once you find them it gives you directions on how to get them to the barn. Remember only a single click on the barn does it (I tend to double click on stuff).

If you go to the egg you mentioned, then look to the right at about a 2 o'clock position (you may have to scroll to the right) you will find another cave with spider eggs. Once initially cleared you will find eggs remaining at the entrance. Clicking the entrance will produce a spider. Kill the spider and you have legs. For future reference I have found that if you have something that is required, clicking on the item may lead you to where/how to get it.

correction, I haven't gotten to the big egg behind that spider statue...and does anybody know where the cave of fear is?

Actually what you have to do is 'single' click on the barn, sleigh pad, or any other item. I tend to double click so that is what was getting me. But thank you for responding.

Did you check the barn? They won't move with your character. They'll just appear where they're supposed to.

I see fish nets and I collect the fish. I'm on level 14 and have yet to come across anything that requires fish. When or where do they come into play?

Since the in-game chat became available, Island Experiment runs too slow to play - even when the chat is "hidden". Is there a way to disable the chat altogether instead of just hiding it?

I have firestarters as a quest, which takes me to the spider lair cave near the pyramid (4th cave). When I click on it, it tells me this object will be available later. I've almost upgraded everything else, how do I get access to the cave?

By following the main quest. Its not a matter of upgrading. The quest that will get you there involves spider eggs. You must clear the eggs (All of them). When you do get to the spider cave, it'll take 10 food total to get 2 spider legs.

You can also gather iron bars from clearing traps. The smeltery, however, is the fastest way to get the most. For example, if completing a task requires you to have 40 iron bars, the smeltery would get you there quicker than clearing the railroad tracks and traps.
