Indie horror series Five Nights at Freddy's is set to get a movie adaptation. Hollywood Reporter has revealed that movie rights to the series have been purchased by Warner Bros:
“We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” said Grahame-Smith.
"The story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to," said Cawthon.
For those unfamiliar with the series, it is set within an ordinarily pleasant family restaurant called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. However, the premise's animatronic attractions come to life after closing time and the player must attempt to survive their murderous rampages by monitoring security cameras.
